Musical bands parade through the streets and squares of the historic center, passing by some of the city's most emblematic places and ending at Piazza Cittadella, next to the Puccini monument.

A large group bike ride through the paths of the Piana di Lucca, passing through different towns and ending at the Walls of Lucca. Free registration.

📍Borgo Giannotti

Sunday, 9/20 · 9am–7pm

One of the traditional markets of September in Lucca, which transforms Borgo Giannotti into a bustling Sunday market.

Monday, September 21st · 9am–7pm

Another one of the old Lucchese September fairs, part of a tradition that is repeated every year in the city.

The Lucca Modern and Contemporary Art Fair brings together exhibitions, meetings, guided tours, and collecting in one of the city's historic spaces. Admission: €5–10.

✨ 🎭 LUCCA FILM FESTIVAL

📍 Historic center and other areas of Lucca

From September 26th to October 4th

International films, premieres, short films, meetings, masterclasses, and guest speakers will occupy different spaces in the city during the festival.

Saturday, September 26th, starting at 9 PM

The streets and squares of the city center are transformed into large cinematic sets, with performances, theater, dance, installations, and references to different film genres. Free admission.


✨ 🌿 FROM THE NOTTOLINI AQUEDUCT TO SANTALLAGO

📍 Lucca → Nottolini Aqueduct → Santallago

Sunday, September 27th · 10am–5pm

A guided walk that starts in Lucca, passing by the historic Nottolini Aqueduct and continuing through the woods to the Spuntone di Santallago. Reservations required.

A historic festival that revives the period when the ancient Mediceo Bridge of Cappiano gained commercial importance and was fortified under the Medici.


🍷 TORTELLO AND PORCINO MUSHROOM FESTIVAL

Scarperia and San Piero (FI)

One of Mugello's most traditional combinations: potato tortello and porcini mushrooms, served in the historic center of Scarperia.

The Little Lamb of Lunigiana celebrates local PDO honey with producers, tastings, workshops, a market, gastronomy, shows, and music.

The streets of Carmignano become the stage for the theatrical contests of the four rioni, in a festival deeply linked to the community's identity. In 2026, the traditional Palio dei Ciuchi will not be held.


✨ 🎭 100th IMPRUNETA GRAPE FESTIVAL

Buondelmonti Square, Impruneta (FI)

Sunday, September 27th · Parade starting at 2:30 PM

One hundred years of tradition: the four rioni of Impruneta present their floats in one of the most characteristic community festivals in Tuscany.

The historic center of Lucignano is transported back in time with a medieval-inspired festival, filled with history, characters, and traditions of the village.

Sunday, September 27th, 4 PM–8 PM

The streets and squares of a small medieval village are transformed into an open stage for 28 theatre companies, blending theatre, architecture and local life.
